Sherin Moustafa

Sherin Moustafa is a distinguished entrepreneur, piano pedagogue, and accomplished pianist renowned for her dedication to excellence in music education.

She specializes in helping children, adults, and parents build a strong foundation in piano playing, empowering them to achieve both personal growth and competitive success.

As the co-owner of Music Lessons Arizona in Tempe, Sherin has transformed beginners into competition winners while inspiring students of all levels through dynamic piano classes, parent seminars, and tailored instruction.

Her students have represented Music Lessons Arizona in prestigious international competitions, earning accolades for their exceptional performances. They also give back to the community by performing at local assisted living facilities, bringing joy and the gift of music to seniors.

Sherin holds a master’s degree in Collaborative Piano Performance and a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Arizona State University.

A versatile musician, she excels in classical piano and musical theatre. Her multicultural heritage—Taiwanese and Egyptian—deepens her perspective on music education. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, and proficient in several other languages, including Japanese, Arabic, German, Italian, and French, Sherin incorporates a global appreciation for music into her teaching.

Sherin is a proud member of the East Valley Music Teacher Association (EVMTA), Arizona State Music Teacher Association (ASMTA), and Music Teacher National Association (MTNA). She is currently the Immediate Past President of the EVMTA. In 2019, Sherin became a National Certified Teacher of Music through the MTNA, and she was also the recipient of the 2022 EVMTA Member of the Year Award.

In addition to her teaching, Sherin actively gives presentations and workshops aimed at helping music educators and artists build entrepreneurial skills and achieve business success. She is passionate about empowering her peers to combine their artistic talents with practical strategies to thrive in today’s competitive environment.

An award-winning pianist, Sherin was featured as the keyboardist in the 2015 Zoni Award-winning cast of Dreamgirls by Desert Foothills Theatre.

Her students, under her mentorship, consistently achieve top honors at local, state, national, and international levels. Through her leadership, innovative teaching, and unwavering commitment to her students, colleagues, and community, Sherin Moustafa continues to inspire excellence, creativity, and joy in the world of music education and entrepreneurship.
