Festival Overview & Vision
Summer 2028 Return: The Music Through The Centuries International Music Competition and Festival will return in Summer 2028 at a premier European destination, combining rigorous masterclasses, distinguished guest artists, and live competition rounds in a world-class concert setting.
2027 Season Intermission: Our international festival program is taking a scheduled hiatus for 2027 while preliminary venue scouting and logistical preparations are finalized.
Eligibility: Open to musicians of all ages, skill levels, and disciplines (Piano, Strings, Winds, Brass, Voice, and Ensembles).
Competition & Awards
Format: Multi-tiered competitive rounds evaluated by an internationally recognized jury of concert artists and conservatory faculty.
Prizes & Recognition: Cash prizes for Grand-Prix laureates, commemorative medals, laureate diplomas for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and merit-based travel scholarships.
Festival Experience: Intensive daily masterclasses, solo showcase opportunities, on-site rehearsal facilities, and guided regional cultural excursions.

From June 30 – July 3, 2026, the Music Through The Centuries International Music Competition and Festival made a spectacular debut along the Mediterranean shores of the Amalfi Coast. Hosted in the enchanting village of Praiano, the event brought together musicians of all ages and disciplines for an intensive experience pairing world-class performance with regional culture.
Participants attended exclusive masterclasses with internationally renowned pianist Roberto Plano, receiving personalized instruction from an esteemed artist and pedagogue. The festival culminated with the Final Round inside the historic Church of Saint Luke the Evangelist, where contestants performed in a centuries-old sanctuary, providing an unforgettable international stage in southern Italy.
On February 14, 2026, the Music Through The Centuries International Competition made a spectacular debut at the Pleasanton Recital Hall in the East Bay Area. This highly competitive edition attracted over 160 participants of all ages and nationalities, showcasing an extraordinary array of instruments.
Whether performing online or in person, contestants from across the United States delivered performances of exceptional caliber. The event successfully provided a prestigious international stage for a diverse group of musicians, solidifying its status as a premier global event.
From July 18–21, 2025, the International Music Competition and Festival made a spectacular Manhattan debut. Hosted at Riverside Music Studios and the DiMenna Center, the event offered students intensive masterclasses with esteemed faculty, including renowned Steinway Artist Jerry Wong (Melbourne Conservatorium of Music).
The festival concluded with showcase recitals in Cary Hall, where participants performed on a professional Steinway D 9-foot grand piano. This successful debut marked a major milestone, bridging the gap between elite music education and high-level performance in the heart of New York City.
The Fourth Annual Music Through The Centuries Competition made a spectacular debut at the Steinway Piano Gallery of Walnut Creek on February 8, 2025, solidifying its status as a prestigious international event. Open to musicians of all ages, nationalities, and instruments, this highly competitive platform attracted over 100 participants, each showcasing extraordinary musical artistry. Contestants from various U.S. states delivered performances of exceptional caliber, impressing both the audience and esteemed judges. Whether online or in person, this competition continues to inspire and connect musicians from around the world, offering them an opportunity to shine on an international stage.

On July 11, 2023, the final round of the Music Through The Centuries Competition took place in the esteemed Wiener Saal at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. Known as one of the most prestigious concert halls in Austria and internationally celebrated, the Wiener Saal provided an inspiring setting for this high-level Competition. Musicians from around the world gathered to showcase their talents, bringing a rich variety of classical repertoire to life. The event highlighted exceptional performances and celebrated the legacy of classical music in a world-renowned venue, marking a significant milestone for the participants and organizers alike.
